Blacbloc - The Revolution of Species (2004) Track 4. Rich man's War, Poor Man's Struggle
Lyrics- sign off your life, pack up your bags the war has begun and life is stagnant they tell you its for the good of the nation the war will be over soon, you'll have to be patient die for your country, they say it's an honor but these are lies so listen no longer when you put on your uniform and enter the war do you believe in the fight or what it is for their contracts for the control of oil or boundary expansion and ruling of soil do you support an imperial nation bent upon our annihilation
A rich mans war is a poor man's battle An image that looks so surreal When a body, a life, becomes a number Does your war have the same appeal The power, The glory, and the valiant heroes behind this something is concealed the dead, the dying, and the struggle another story to be revealed
are you protecting with honor and pride who will the children to die it makes me sick what warfare does helping destroy the world we love at eighteen, they force you into the draft and make you risk everything you have so many hurt and so many die as you watch the families cry down with violence down with war nothing is worth killing for
power over another human's life, what a concept they take you from your families over their senseless conflicts at the drop of a dime they'll steal you from your home while they bask in their money, endless profit, and gold when you are fighting on the line, will they be fighting beside you? or will they be in thier beds, gently subdued as an expendable drone, you are controlled by the chief their families are content while yours worry and weep
